To create environmental awareness through cleanliness of young minds Daffodil International University observed “Cleaning Festival 2012” on December 01, 2012 at Campus premises. Famous Bangladeshi mountaineer Musa Ibrahim inaugurated the festival at Sobhanbagh Campus. The inaugural ceremony 
was also addressed among others by Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director (Student Affairs, Masud Ibn Rahman, Asst Prof and Head Social Business Cell, DIU. To mark the festival and create awareness among the students and community people a colorful Rally was brought out from the Sobhanbagh campus which surrounded the main streets of the capital and ended at the main campus of the university. In this festival teacher, students, celebrities and staffs cleaned the toilets and campuses together in a festive mood.
The concept of cleanliness was displayed in front of the students who became motivated of keeping their classrooms and surroundings clean and create a suitable environment for all. The mass people also got a clear message regarding the significance of cleanliness.
