Cyber security awareness day 2023 with collaboration of BTRC- Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission and Daffodil International University, facilitated by Cyber Security Center (CSC) , Department of Software Engineering, DIU and Department of Information Technology & Management, DIU. 

Just like previous years, the students of the Department of Software Engineering, DIU achieved great success in Nasa Space Apps Challenge 2023, Bangladesh. Two champions and 1 runner up. Congratulations to Team Titans (Educational game on Titan planet), Team Eclipsia (Educational Games on Eclipse), and Team Moonrakers(moonquake map). Heartiest Congratulations to my students. The department and the university take immense pride in your accomplishments. 

The Department of Software Engineering, DIU has ventured into a new avenue with the introduction of "Campus Recruitment." In a collaborative effort, BDCOM (https://www.bdcom.cn/) a multinational company based on Shanghai, China and the Department of Software Engineering joined forces to organize this significant event. The participation was open to both Software Engineering (SWE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students. We were honored to have Mr. Zhang Yi( Philip), the Director (HR) from Shanghai, China, in attendance during this session. 

Project Exhibition organized by DIU Robotics lab. The main objective of this program was to connect students with real world examples as reflection of their learning from Robotics course and was also an assessment part of the course.

On 25 June 2023, the Cyber Security Centre became an Authorized Training Center of Mile2, expanding its portfolio of cyber security certifications and strengthening its commitment to provide top-notch education and training in the field.

The Department of Software Engineering, DIU at DIU places great importance on fostering collaboration between industry and academia. First, our proud alumni Aftab Tohan (1st batch) , Senior Manager of BRAC conducted workshop on business analytics (Alumni Connect Episode 28). Second, Md. Anisul Islam, an IT professional expert, a Full Stack Trainer at Integrify, and a research assistant at Tampere University, Finland conducted workshop on AI based web design. 

Software Project Management" bootcamp by Department of Software Engineering, DIU. The resource persons were from Synesis IT, a renowned software firm in Bangladesh.

DIU 5th Intra Department Programming is going to be held in 11th Nov 2022.It is a solo competition using programming knowledge. 1st to 4th semester students can participate in this contest only.

Celebration with a cricket tournament for 12 year anniversary of SWE is going to be held in 1st Nov,2022.8 team is registered with their 15 number of players.Faculty members of dept of SWE is encouraged to mentor these teams.

Shohel Arman Sir, Respected Mr. Nuruzzaman Faruqui Sir, Lecturer (Senior Scale), Respected Mr. Md Rajib Mia Sir, Lecturer along with Beloved Freshers and Club Members - DIUSEC started their new journey keeping the Mission, Vision, and Values in front.

One of the most important section of DIUSEC ACM Wing organized a free one month long beginners programming classes. It was a great initiative because dept of SWE is fully curriculamed with programming.This session helped freshers having a suitable path to achieve this.

As the best club in DIU, DIUSEC won the "DIU Inter-Departmental and Clubs Social Media Contest 2022". It had inspired the DIU SEC team greatly. We will do our best to maintain our current status.

Software Engineering Club intruduced its core committee.Dedicated and adept people had taken chance to have these positions.Some of our faculty members were involved to mentoring this committee including our dept head sir.DIUSEC officially started working since having this new committee.

Orientation program for Fall22 freshers was a member recruiting day for DIUSEC.Almost hundred of freshers registered in that day. The honorable head of dept of SWE visited our booth and appreciated us.It was a great encouragement for executive members who spends their valueable time for organizing this.

A workshop on ''Deep Learning ( Artificial Neural Networks)'' was held on May 30 Students from the Department of Software Engineering have joined.
Our data science expert Shohel Arman and Musabbir Sammak has conducted the session in 2 parts.
It was an admirable session with the presence of a lot of interested students. They have come to know about Artificial Neural Networks of deep learning in that session.

JAVA Programming is used considering Object Oriented Programming.In this workshop our respectable faculty member Md. Rittique Alam sir skilled us with basics of JAVA and guides to implement in our code.This session was really great because JAVA is one of the most used programming language in today's world.
